Counseling is done by donation. The first session typically involves the counselee answering a temperament survey which identify the individual’s temperament. This provides a lot of useful information for Dr. Shane to understand the person’s personality. The only donation asked for this session is the $30 cost for the temperament evaluation which is paid to the National Christian Counselors Association.
A sliding scale is used to suggest a donation. After the first consultation, a suggested donation is 1/10th of 1% of annual income. Thus, an individual earning $50,000/year would donate $50/session. No donation is asked from the unemployed. Donations can be given by cash, check or online through this website. Dr. Shane does not accept health insurance.
